Solveig Sandnes

Solveig is a female pop singer from Denmark. After her success with another Danish band called Lovebites, Solveig's debut solo CD, titled Analog - released in 1999, features her polished, silky voice and a music akin to bands like The Cardigans. Her single "Marie" did very well on the Japanese & Southeast Asian pop charts during the summer of 1999. Marie was written about Solveig's sister and has a catchy radio melody. In 2000, Solveig released the follow up to Analog, Vagabond Squaw, which was released in Japan under Victor Entertainment. Tracks from both Analog and Vagabond Squaw is currently a part of our playlist.
